Samsung and Google announced plans to introduce Matter, an IoT open standard, in both Samsung SmartThings and Google Home systems.
Matter is an IoT (Internet of Things) standard that is being developed by Apple, Google, Amazon, Samsung, etc. It is a technology standard in which many companies participate so that smart home devices of various companies can be controlled regardless of the platform.
This allows devices connected to the Matter standard to operate with Samsung SmartThings for devices connected to Google Home, and vice versa.
Samsung said in a statement that it values a strong partnership with Google as the largest Android developer and wants to give users flexibility through the new multi-admin feature.
