Nvidia’s Rubin next-gen AI platform to come in 2026

Just a few months after announcing the ‘Blackwell’-based platform, NVIDIA unveiled its next-generation artificial intelligence graphics processing unit (GPU) ‘Rubin’. Rubin is the successor to the GPU Blackwell model announced in March of this year, and is reportedly scheduled to be released in 2026. NVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang promised to release new products every year going forward, which is interpreted as an effort to maintain a dominant position in the market by shortening the launch of new products from 2 years to 1 year. NVIDIA unveiled the Ampere-based ‘A100’ in 2020, the Hopper-based ‘H100’ in 2022, and the Blackwell-based ‘B100’ in March of this year.
