NVIDIA is said to be preparing a new AI chip targeting the Chinese market. It has been reported that the company will release and distribute a chip called the ‘B20’ in cooperation with ‘Inspur’, one of its major distribution partners in China. The shipment date of the B20 for the Chinese market is known to be the second quarter of 2025. Against the backdrop of strengthening export controls on cutting-edge semiconductors to China, NVIDIA has been developing products for the Chinese market that do not violate US export controls, such as selling the H20, which was designed to avoid export controls by lowering certain performances of its flagship product, the H100, to China. Meanwhile, NVIDIA unveiled its next-generation AI chip, the Blackwell series, in March.
